Makes about 12 cookies

Cooling the cookies in the shape of a "Tuile" or a "Tile" |
How to Prepare: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk the sugar vanilla, butter and egg whites. Sift the flour and salt into the mixture and whisk together. Fold in the walnuts, amaretti cookies and lemon zest. Prepare a baking sheet with non stick spray, parchment paper or a
silpat (I use the silpat). Spoon 2 Tbsp portions onto the silpat. Keep them about 4" from one another to avoid overlap. Bake on the middle rack for 8-10 minutes until they start to brown. Remove from oven and let cool for a couple minutes. With a butter knife or small spatula, gently remove the cookies and shape over a rolling pin, to further cool. This will allow the cookies to form their final shape of a tuile ("tile" in French). Sift powdered sugar over the tops of the cookies, to your desired amount. Enjoy!
