Mark and I were in San Jose, CA recently for his aunt's 90th b-day party. We headed north to Napa, CA the next day to visit some wineries. We also stopped in Berkely, CA (my alma mater, UC Berkeley). Northern CA has an extraordinary selection of dining options, ranging from Ethiopian, French, Indian, Cuban, Mexican, Italian, Spanish, middle Eastern, Irish, and more. Berkeley is a timeless city, where things seem to never change. We visited a favorite book store of mine on Telegraph Ave, Shakespeare & Co.
